If you’re like a lot of people and feel as though you’re under constant digital assault, medieval monks may have some tips that might help. At least that’s according to Jamie Kreiner in her post on the Aeon website.
As Ms Kreiner points out, concentration was the medieval monk’s stock-in-trade. But maintaining the required “focus on divine communication” was a daily challenge. Consequently, the monks had to develop a number of strategies to help keep their “eyes on the prize” so to speak.
Fortunately for us, Ms Kreiner shares a number of them.
