Sweden is one of the most literate nations in the world and according to this post in ATLAS Obscura the Bokbåten sets sail twice a year reinforcing its commitment to reading for everyone.
Provided by the Stockholm Library Service “this floating library delivers thousands of books to the remote islands of Stockholm’s archipelago.” And Sweden’s not the only one.
Its Scandinavian neighbor Norway has featured its own book boat since 1963.
