According to GalleyCat “Colin B. Bailey, director of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, has been appointed as the new director of the Morgan Library & Museum in New York.
“We are delighted that Colin Bailey has agreed to become the new director of the Morgan,” stated Lawrence R. Ricciardi, president of the museum’s board. “He is a scholar of the highest order with an impressive record of leadership at a number of outstanding museums. Moreover, he has extensive knowledge of New York cultural institutions and of the philanthropic world, and also brings to the Morgan valuable international experience.”
Bailey specializes in 18th-century French art, holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History from the University of Oxford. Prior to joining the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Bailey held positions at New York’s Frick Collection and the Peter Jay Sharp Foundation.

According to Laure Haak at ORCID there are “two new ORCID team members: Alice Meadows is joining ORCID as our Communications Director and Douglas Wright as Membership Director, both starting in May. Alice and Doug will supported through a grant to ORCID from the Helmsley Charitable Trust.
Alice will be responsible for ORCID communications, with a remit to broaden awareness of who we are and what we do, and to support adoption and use of ORCID by the research community.
She will be in charge of our Ambassadors program, ORCID publications and social media, and our meetings calendar.

Doug will be leading the charge on building our membership, with the ultimate goal of helping ORCID to become a truly financially sustainable organization.
He will be managing a team of locally-based Regional Directors in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.
