ATG Quirkies: What’s Inside the Millennium Time Capsule?

by | Aug 5, 2014 | 0 comments

clock-public domain pixabayCan’t wait until 2100 to learn what’s inside the Millennium Time Capsule? Luckily for you the folks at mental_floss have provided this neat infographic that opens the time capsule for your inspection.  Everything from books by John Steinbeck and William Faulkner to a computer chip to Ray Charles’s glasses made the cut. Unfortunately they removed the Twinkies!

P.S. Preservation was obviously the key concern so the National Millennium Time Capsule “was designed to provide for responsible long-term storage of the papers and artifacts…”  For more information check out Protection of the Items and Papers in the National Millennium Time Capsule.
