Bryn Mawr College Information Services invites applications for the position of Data Integration Librarian. This full-time, temporary position through 9/30/2013 reports to the Coordinator for Information Acquisition and Delivery. Major responsibilities include managing the Tri-College Libraries’ (Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Swarthmore) link resolver, discovery layer article index, and metadata cataloging record service. Additional responsibilities include managing the library’s article citation recommender service; troubleshooting and resolution of problems with the above software applications; serving as a resource person for staff on processes and standards for metadata management; coordination of implementation for new features, changes, or upgrades to the above applications; and in collaboration with colleagues at Haverford and Swarthmore Libraries, plays a role in making both policy and processing decisions.

This full-time faculty appointment in Steely Library is responsible for extended collections services, with all general university faculty responsibilities. Also, supervises and manages the staff in the areas of interlibrary loan, document delivery, educational outreach, and electronic reserves. Plays a vital role in planning, designing, developing, and evaluating new initiatives and policy development in the area of information content, access, and delivery. Utilizes and monitors adherence of copyright guidelines for interlibrary loan and electronic reserves, collaborates with the intellectual property librarian on complex copyright issues. Collaborates with faculty and staff to effectively carry out library services. Helps with the management and assessment of all services in technical services and demonstrates an understanding of current models, practices, trends, and tools used by academic libraries for acquisitions, discoverability, access, and delivery of resources. Participates in professional library organizations.
The Jack Tarver Library of Mercer University is a librarian … to join our team as an entry level Reference Services Librarian. We are looking for an individual to take the lead in defining the “who, what, where, and when” that compose the next generation of reference services for Mercerians. This position is a key participant in a team-based approach with colleagues who are committed to the successful blending of high quality personal services, access to resources, and information technology in support of an evolving academic curriculum. Recent projects include exploring with Circulation colleagues in the provision of front line and triage assistance; recruiting an Instructional Services Librarian to coordinate active participation in a revised general education program within The College of Liberal Arts; and collaborating with faculty colleagues and students in Mercer’s growing emphasis on student research focusing on discovery, inquiry, and creativity.
