In order to increase the quality of metadata, Springer has released a new web tool that allows catalogers and librarians to easily download tailor-made batches of MARC records (Machine-Readable-Cataloging) or eBook title lists. This new tool is easy to use and allows librarians to download a batch of records to a library’s Springer eBook collections.
EBSCO announced that it has been working “to bring all Wilson databases onto the EBSCOhost platform.” There will be a “transitional access where customers of Wilson databases have access via EBSCOhost and via WilsonWeb.” However, by the end of December 2011 WilsonWeb “will be deactivated … and all access will be via EBSCOhost.” EBSCO plans to notify customers as each applicable Wilson database becomes available on EBSCOhost.
