Regional Sales Manager (Central US and South America)
The Journals Division of Taylor & Francis Group, a division of informa and leading academic publisher, has an excellent opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to join its growing sales team. Reporting to the Director of Journals Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and management of online sales throughout the central United States and South America.
Responsibilities: Increase and promote sales of T&F print and online journals throughout assigned region; manage and train Journal Sales Executive and supporting staff; identify and pursue opportunities for growth and development; negotiate and execute sales agreements; produce regular reports on activity and development; assist in the development of sale proposals, management reports, supporting sales contact/CRM database; and attend library meetings and industry events as required
Qualifications: Strong organizational and project management skills with the demonstrated ability to manage and train staff. Must be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced presentation skills at all levels of business. Effective account management skills and the ability to develop relationships and partnerships both internally and externally. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus five-ten years’ outside sales experience in academic publishing with previous management and training experience. Proficiency with Windows including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM software required. Domestic and international travel is required.
Location: Local candidates preferred, but will also consider remote based candidates.

Leah was appointed Executive Director of the Charleston Conference in 2017, and has served in various roles with the Charleston Information Group, LLC, since 2004. Prior to working for the conference, she was Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions for the College of Charleston for four years. She lives in a small town near Columbia, SC, with her husband and two kids where they raise a menagerie of farm animals.
